Shhh — the hunters are sleeping. The wrap-around scene on this German beer stein tells the tale of four hunters who have fallen fast asleep; because they no longer pose a threat, the wildlife creeps in, coming within inches of the sleeping foursome. The stoneware raised-relief scene is finished in a special four-tone combination of ivory, emerald, brown, and cobalt, and even the handle joins the story — it is an attractive fox. A conical pewter lid completes this limited edition of 10,000 pieces, generous at a full 1.0 liter. For hunters with a sense of humor and woodland collectors alike, this beer stein is the one that got away — and came back.
