A quiet stream comes to life on this beer stein, designed in two panels of transfer decoration on stoneware. On one side, a brook trout swims close to its hiding place — an exposed tree root — and intercepts an aquatic insect. On the other, a rainbow trout withstands a stream current as it awaits an easy meal to float by. Aquatic life border decorations frame the scenes, with raised-relief borders and handle adding depth to the artwork, and an embossed, half-high pewter lid completing the piece. Holding 0.50 liters, this beer stein is a natural gift for anglers and fly-fishing collectors who know exactly where the trout hide. The stein is made in China and Germany.
