King Charlemagne himself leads the artwork on this German beer stein by Peter Duemler. The stoneware body carries a raised-relief, five-panel decoration of King Charlemagne and royal subjects, finished in a special three-tone combination of cobalt, gray and brown. Below, a flared base set with lion heads and crowns gives the stein its regal footing, and a pewter conical lid completes the royal silhouette. This is a limited edition of 10,000 pieces from a maker whose name carries real weight among collectors. For admirers of Peter Duemler's relief work, lovers of royal history and anyone building a distinguished shelf, this beer stein wears its crown well.
