The call of the wild runs all the way around this German beer stein, in artwork drawn by James A. Meger. On the right side, an alpha wolf meets you in close-up, watchful and self-assured; on the left, another wolf lifts its voice in a howl, with the moon hanging in the background behind it. The scene is rendered as an etched-style, high-fired print, so the wolves keep their quiet intensity against the clear glass. The embossed pewter lid is adorned with a wolf motif, and a pewter wolf head thumblift completes the piece. For wolf lovers and beer stein collectors, it brings a moonlit wilderness to the table.
