This stein was created to exhibit the history of the German steam engine. The body of the stein is a smooth, black glazed, high quality stoneware decorated with a platinum wrap around design. Along the top border of the stein are the words, Die Historie der Deutchen Dampflokomotiven, translate to, The History of the German Steam Engine. The left and right sides of the platinum design feature images of a variety of steam engines over the last 150 years. A pewter medallion replica of the Imperial German Railroad Long Service badge is attached opposite the handle of the stein a surrounded by a variety of German railroad crests and coats of arms. Fixed to the ornamental pewter lid is an intricately detailed pewter figurine of a steam engine. Limited edition of 5,000 individually numbered pieces.
